This is a single malt from the series A Whisky Anthology. It’s from 3 1^st fill ex-Bourbon barrels, bottled at cask strength, with a number of 893 bottles. Light, young, Bourbon matured, peated Whisky in the smell. It’s not from a heavily peated Islay distillery, that’s for sure! White fruits and a little floral.

A bit more peat in the taste, but not much. Green apples, vanilla and hints of soap. The finish is warm from the alcohol and some burned caramelized sugar comes forward.

A bit too ‘meh’, in my opinion. Could have used some further maturation, and the peat is quite forgettable. And those soapy notes, just don’t belong in whisky, in my opinion! I will give this 79/100 (20/19/20/20).
