Jura 16, 40 %

Review #40
The local people say that 16 years is the optimal age for a Jura whisky. I don´t know if they are right, but it is good! The smell is so smooth. Lime, barley, and mild honey treat your nose.

The taste is more powerful. Classic Island whisky with some salty notes. Along with the salt there are some wooden notes and some more citrus and fruit. Fruits likes plums and peaches. The finish is actually quite nice and long even though it is only 40 %. Raisins at first and some more floral notes at the end.

This is just nice, and for a 40 % whisky, you get a lot of taste. I like that the citrus notes is present from start to finish, and the rest changes. I will give this 87/100 (22/21/22/22).
