This 25 year old Talisker is bottle number 2124 out of
6318. The smell is nice and fruity at first. A bit citrus, oak and marzipan
sweetness comes to mind and of course the maritime character.
The taste is quite sweet at first. Toasted oak, salt
and some slight peat. I find some black pepper and again light peat in the
finish and some sweet sugar notes in the end. It is actually very warm and
mouthwatering.
This is a real Talisker from the start to the end. A
fine dram with a fine balance and complexity. I think it is very pricey though,
but it is often on sale and then it is another talk. I will give this 89/100 (22/22/23/22).
