This is from a bourbon barrel, and only 263 bottles
were made. This is bottle number 240. The smell is classic Arran with the
citrus and light salty touch. The peat is also light.
This whisky is only 5 years old, but only light
peated. That was a bit surprising. With the peat you get notes of citrus, fresh
fruits and burned sugar sweetness in the taste. The citrus and the peat stay for quite a
while in the finish.
It is a bit boring regarding the balance and
complexity, but a great young whisky! I will give this 89/100 (23/22/23/21).
