Arran 7 yo (2002), SMWS 121.40, 61,6 %

Review #172
This Arran is from a refill ex-sherry butt and is called “Black tea with brown sugar”. Only 674 bottles were made. Blueberries, blackberries and marzipan. The smell is so thick and oily that I feel that I already is chewing it!

The taste is very dominating even though it is over 60 %. Clearly, the fruit dictates this whisky. Lots of nice sherry influence in the finish like dates, plums and dark berries.

Of course I love it! It is a sherry bomb and the fruit is so intense that it is almost frightening. Great work for a whisky that young! I will rate this 89/100 (22/22/23/22).
