Review #177 |
This whisky is called
“An artist in an antique boat and comes from a 1st fill ex-bourbon
barrel. Only 272 bottles were made. It is so sweet in the smell that you know what is coming. If you have tasted the newer Octomores, you will know what I am
talking about.
Peat peat and a blast
of peat in the taste. Sweet marzipan notes Pampers your mouth in between the
peat tries to dominate! Take some water to get it more approachable. It is the
same peat and sweetness that stays forever in the finish.
So sweet and so
peated, and of course cask strength! This could might as well have been an Octomore.
I will rate this 87/100 (22/21/23/21).
