This whisky is called
“Pirates puddings on the deck” and comes from a refill ex-bourbon hogshead.
Only 290 botlles were made. The smell is full of sweet and fruity notes, caramel
and fresh apples.
The taste is a little
harsh at first but when the finish comes a lot of apples and pears appears and
becomes a lot smoother.
With some water the
first impression of the taste settles down a bit and the fruity notes comes a
bit forward and the whisky scores some extra points. I will rate this 87/100 (21/22/22/22).
