Review #235 |
This is a
single cask whisky, more specific cask number 17 which were a sherry butt, and
only 1021 bottles were made. It is from the series “Straight from the Cask”. Nice
fruity notes is coming through in the smell. Not only dried fruits but also
some fresh fruits. Plums, apples and loads of apricots.
Sweet and
fruity in the taste, but sometimes in these Edradours I get some soapy notes,
and this is one of those. Soap and some perfume. Sometimes it doesn’t ruin
anything, but this time it is really off. The finish is a bit better and the
cask strength makes it long, warm and the dried fruits finally comes forward.
