Review #241 |
This is a
single barrel and comes from cask 101, which is a white oak barrel. The smell
is very calm and doesn’t reveal much. Some vanilla and hints of honey sweetness
is coming through.
Not at all
what I expected in the taste. Sweet honey and vanilla with some burned oak and
caramel. The finish is very warm and the oak doesn’t dominate too much. Some
coffee notes mixes quietly in with the rest in the end.
A funny
acquaintance. First I didn’t expect much, but the taste and specially the
finish surprised me. I love it when it goes that way! Actually, some water
opens up the smell quite a lot, so go for it! I will give this 83/100 (19/21/22/21).
