Review #257 |
This is the
classic 12 year old from Cragganmore. The smell is very floral and full of
honey and nectar sweetness. Behind this layer loads of vanilla is balancing
great with the light oak influence.
The taste
is a bit spicy at first, followed by some great honey sweetness. I get some
malt and oak as well that stays to the finish. Extremely smooth. Like drinking
fresh cold river water. Only with alcohol!
A classic
dram that I would describe as classic Scotch whisky! Perfect for a hot summer
day in the garden. I would love to try a dram like this at cask strength! With
that said, be careful with water, as the ABV already is as low as 40. I will
give this 83/100 (20/21/21/21).
