It is from the series “Exclusive Range”
and comes from a hogshead with the casknumber 7758. 365 bottles were made. Sweet
cake, malt and grass in the smell. A bit odd combination, but it works. Light
fruity notes and marzipan.
I still get the cake sweetness in the
taste, but some spicy notes makes an entrance. The finish has some more oaky
and nutty notes but the sweetness is the thing that stays to the end. Thick
vanilla ice cream, oh yes!
A great desert whisky from Clynelish.
The sweetness mixed with different things from smell to finish is just great
and the strength of this whisky is just perfect. I
will rate this 87/100 (21/22/22/22).
