Wild Turkey 10 yo, Sherry Signature, 43 %

Review #357
This Bourbon is finished in Oloroso Sherry casks. Vanilla and burned oak in the smell. The Oloroso influence really shows in the end where some light red fruity notes enter the scene. Some plums and a hint of tobacco as well.

Again some tobacco in the taste, and the oak almost fills the mouth. The Sherry influence is very light, just a touch, and comes forward in the finish, where the warmth is accompanied by some peachy-like sweetness.

I don’t think it is a very long finish, but it doesn’t matter, as it complements the whiskey so good! It doesn’t take over, it doesn’t remove focus from the Bourbon, it just adds an extra layer of fruity sweetness, that mostly stays in the background! I will give this 85/100 (21/21/22/21).
