This is a
Kentucky Straigth Bourbon Whiskey and is the standard bottling from Rebel Yell.
It is very light and sweet on the nose. Classic vanilla from Bourbon Whiskeys
are coming through. This definitely doesn’t hurt anybody.
Not much
new is coming through in the taste. Some oak is a bit more dominant but not
much else. The finish is short and a bit watery and are pretty much the same
flavors as in the smell and the taste.
This is
just a bit boring at 40 %. A very simple, but classic, Bourbon that doesn’t
challenge you at all. I will give this 75/100 (20/18/19/18).
