This is a
Straight Rye Whiskey and is only produced and sold in limited quantities…
Whatever that means… Some mint is the first that hits my nose. Then some
spices, coffee, bitter dark chocolate and light oak. After a couple of minutes,
some orange peel comes forward.
Warm and
mouth-filling in the taste at first. Then some spices and sugar with a bit of a
burn. Candy in the finish. Very sweet, but not too much. Unfortunately, as I
like it, it is not a long finish.
Rye just
has a great way to combine sweetness and spices. This is no exception. It is
not overly complex, but you can pick up quite a lot of different things in this
one. I will give this 83/100 (20/21/21/21).
