Review #427 |
From
Chapter 7’s series “A Whisky Anthology” comes this 19 yo single malt from an
unknown Highland distillery. It is from two Sherry butts and only 1130 bottles
were made. Vanilla and marzipan at first in the smell. Slightly floral and
citrusy with loads of white fruits and crisp apple pie. Not much oak influence
considering the 19 years though.
Strong
alcohol and chocolate in the taste. Then some light citrus, sweet vanilla, dark
red berries and oak. Just a little hint of tickling tannins in the finish and
some great light balanced oak.
