Tyrconnell Single Malt Irish Whiskey, 40%

Review #568
This is a single malt from Cooley Distillery. Crisp apples and vanilla in the smell. The very classical Irish smoothness is very noticeable. Sweet pears comes forward in the end after a minute in the hand.

The taste is very similar with the smell. Actually, it taste exactly how I imagined! White fruits are very dominant but some more buttery notes and toffee sweetness comes forward in the finish. A bit of oak and malted barley as well all the way through.

A very standard, on the border to boring, Irish whiskey. It doesn’t hurt nobody, but I don’t imagine it is a whiskey like this you will catch peoples interest for Irish whiskey. Very easy drinking though, and would probably go very well a hot day in the garden. I will give this 79/100 (19/20/20/20).
