Ben Nevis 22 yo (1995/2017), The Single Cask, 44,7%

Review #701
This is a single cask from The Single Cask. It is matured in cask number BN95A and only 60 bottles were made. Oak, marzipan and that classic Ben Nevis character at first in the smell. The oak gets a bit bitter and some caramel is coming forward alongside some plums.

Loads of flavours coming through in the taste, and the relatively low ABV makes it very approachable. Oak, candied apples, marzipan and just a touch of light smoke. It gets a bit “darker” in the finish. You can chew this for quite a while, with especially the oak staying.

Besides some bitterness/sourness in the smell, I find this quite good. The time of maturation have really made this flavourful and elegant. This would go great with a cigar! I will give this 87/100 (21/22/22/22).
