Review #701 |
This is a single cask from The Single Cask.
It is matured in cask number BN95A and only 60 bottles were made. Oak, marzipan
and that classic Ben Nevis character at first in the smell. The oak gets a bit
bitter and some caramel is coming forward alongside some plums.
Loads of flavours coming through in the
taste, and the relatively low ABV makes it very approachable. Oak, candied
apples, marzipan and just a touch of light smoke. It gets a bit “darker” in the
finish. You can chew this for quite a while, with especially the oak staying.
