This is the cask strength version of the Rye from FEW, produced in Evanston, Illinois. For a whisky above 60%, I ain’t getting much in the smell to start with... cinnamon and oak with some caramel, but without the sweetness. Dry oak that is...

Pheww, you get the alcohol now! Oak and spices - again cinnamon, but with e peppery touch - rushes in, in the taste. Some cherry in the background. Very dry finish with some burned oak and just a touch of caramel.

A very fresh Rye Whiskey, spite the spicyness and high ABV. Yet very dry! Does this make sense? Maybe you follow me when you taste it... This is fine from start to finish, and I will give this 85/100 (21/21/22/21).
