Springbank 10 yo, 46 %

Review #19
Springbank Distillery is one the only distilleries in Scotland that produces the whisky themselves from start to finish and this two and a half distilled whisky from Campeltown, is one of the better young standard whiskies out there.

The smell is very characteristic, salty, smoky, nutty and with hint of orange. The taste is great and the 46 % gives it a bit of a kick. It has a very full body, creamy, light peat, hints of sweet honey. The finish is great and stays for a while. Very oily, pepper, raisins and with some bitterness.

This is a whisky I always have on the shelf. Good smell, great taste, great finish and very well balanced! And the price isn’t that bad either! I give this whisky 87/100 (21/22/22/22).
