Yellow Spot 12 yo, 46 %

Review #23
This is the big brother to Green Spot and has a 12 year old statement. The smell makes me think about Christmas. Sweet, honey, cinnamon tea and some dried fruit.

The taste has a lot of power. I am very grateful that they kept it at 46 %. Gingerbread, toasted oak, sherry influence in form of raisins

The finish is sweet, honey, vanilla, light fruit mixed with dried fruits. Apple, pears and the classic sherry-taste, but still in a light way.

This whisky has a great balanced and complexity. I think this is a great whisky and shows that triple distillation don’t have to be clean and at times boring. I will rate it 88/100 (21/22/21/24).
