Johnnie Walker Blue Label, 40 %

Review #48
Bottle No IB1 86114. The smell is light peated with some sour citrus, dark chocolate and spices.

The taste is more peated with hints of lemongrass, berries, nuts and toasted oak. The finish plays with a lot of tastes as well, but sadly at 40 % it dies rather fast. I think that at a bit higher ABV it would have revealed some more flavors and I would have enjoyed it more.

It is a whisky where I´m getting new things every time I take a sip. It is funny balanced but somewhat complex. To the price I must confess I find it rather boring. But pricey or not, it is still a pretty decent whisky. I will give this 87/100 (21/22/22/22).
