The Tempest range from Bowmore lies as close to the
sea as you get. This results in a smell with more salt and ocean breeze than
peat. It is a very nice mixture and you find some hints of citrus and sweet
nectar.
Wauw. The taste just overpowers me! Citrus, peat and
toasted oak. Or more like burned oak. And in the finish you get some burned
sugar just staying in your mouth for you to enjoy.
This is just nice, and I really enjoy the touch of the
ocean. If the taste is to overwhelming, just leave it a couple a minute in the
glass and it will settle a bit down. You can also give it a wee drop of water,
but I think that anything but the smell, is suffering from this. I will rate
this 90/100 (22/23/23/22).
