Review #160 |
This is
batch 51 of this Aberlour sherry-monster! Lots of dried fruits and honey
sweetness. It is a bit sweeter in the smell than some of the previous batches
in my opinion.
The taste
is on fire like A’bunadh usualy is. A load of dried fruits coming through in
the taste as well. Some oak and lovely sweetness also find its way through. The
honey sweetness stays in the finish alongside the taste of the classic sherry
influence like raisins and dates.
There is no
shame in adding water to this. I don’t think it does much to the smell, but it
gets more approachable in the taste. A classic A’bunadh, so if you enjoy these,
go for it! I will rate this 90/100 (23/22/23/22).
