Review #169 |
This is
from the series ”Distillery Label” from Gordon & MacPhail. It is very light
with fruity flavors and lots of vanilla on the nose. The oak and barley is
mellow and it is generally very soft.
There is a
bit more power in the taste, still with the vanilla, but some darker notes like
raisins also appears. It is only 43 % and that makes the finish die rather
fast… At first! But then suddenly it reappears and the sweetness and oaky notes
lies silent in the mouth.
It is a bit
boring to honest (not to be confused with bad quality!), but the finish was
something a bit different I really haven’t tried before. Water doesn’t seems to
do much neither due to the low ABV. I will give this 86/100 (21/22/22/21).
