Whyte and Mackay 22 yo, 43 %

Review #212
Whyte and Mackay own the single malt distilleries Dalmore, Jura and Fettercairn but also make a lot of blended whisky. This is 22 years old and bottled at 43 %. Sweetness from dried fruits in the smell. It is very light with some vanilla and oak in the background.

Dried fruits in the taste like raisins and ripe plums. Still with a fresh touch. The sweetness from the dried fruits stays in the finish with some fresh oak and vanilla. I get some hints of rubber notes as well in the end.

A good blend. They have definitely been thorough choosing the casks to this blend. Especially the single malts from sherry casks is making this whisky standing out compared to other blends. I will give this 84/100 (20/21/22/21).
