Review #262 |
The first
from the Special series from Mackmyra and it is called “Eminent Sherry”. This
one is from sherry casks. Marzipan, but not too sweet, in the smell. Hints of
dried fruits, but not as heavy as you would expect from sherry casks.
A bit
strange taste at first and then the alcohol takes over. Some toasted oak in the
finish mixed with hints of raisins. It is very rough with hints of grass and
hay. It stays for quite a while, but nothing spectacular.
This is
definitely not from first fill sherry casks. Maybe not even second fill… The
usual sherry notes is not very present, and the color is very pale. Some water
helps. I will give this 81/100 (20/20/21/20).
