Smokehead 18 yo, 46 %

From Ian MacLeod comes this 18 year old Smokehead. It is called “extra black” and only 6.000 bottles were made. Marzipan and light peat in the smell. Coconut and sweet vanilla with mellow oak as well.

More peat in the taste. Very sweet at first but it fades quite fast and turns more into vanilla in the finish. Peat and vanilla in the finish and it is actually very elegant. Lovely finish!

Not that peaty considering that it is called smokehead. Of course the 18 years calms it down, but some water opens up for some more peat though! I will give this 86/100 (21/21/22/22).
