Cameronbridge, Cameron Brig, 40 %

Review #351
This is the low budget single grain from Scotland’s largest distillery. The smell is very light and gentle with notes of caramel in the smell. Hints of oak in the background, but generally it is so mild that it is on the border to boring.

A bit more compact in the taste. Again some caramel sweetness with some plums and oak coming more forward in the finish. I can´t really get much more out of this, and I don´t think the alcohol influence is very nice. Normally it gives a kick or a warm feeling, but this is more with hints of what you find in cheap vodkas.

This doesn’t hurt no one, and it is a fine intro to single grain whisky. If you would like to play around with some blending at home, this can do a very good base in your blend. I will give this 76/100 (20/19/19/18).
