This is from the series “A Whisky Anthology” and comes from a Sherry Butt. It has cask number 900109 and only 663 bottles were made. Raisins in the smell. Sweet raisins with some caramel in the back. After some time in the glass some figs appear.

Very powerful in the taste! I almost can’t taste anything because of the alcohol… When the whisky settles some oak and nuts appear. More nuts than oak, with some tobacco leaves in the background. Not as much flavour in the finish as I expected… Some toasted oak, light spices and hints of dried fruits.

A fine whisky that shows age isn’t everything. With that said, it is a bit young, and if they had watered it down to 40 %, it would have been a bit boring. This can take some water, and it actually changes quite a lot. I will give this 83/100 (21/20/21/21).
