Bowmore 14 yo (2001/2016), TSC, 50 %

Review #387
This is a single cask from cask number 31931 from the bottler The Single Cask. Only 90 bottles were made. Light white fruits, very light citrus and light peat in the smell. Yes, light is a theme here! Some heather as well.

The peat is the first that hits the tongue, but still light as in the smell. I also get some mint and floral notes in the taste. The finish is warm, and some winter spices mixes with the peat. Some citrusy notes lies behind in the background all the way.

A classic light citrusy Bowmore. My guess would be a refill cask, as the oak influence is very limited. You don’t get much of all the classic flavours from the cask like vanilla, coconut and wood itself. I will give this 84/100 (21/21/22/20).
