Review #418 |
From the series
Distillers Choice comes this Bourbon matured whisky with a Madeira finish. 1882
bottles were made. Very classic whisky in the smell. Malted barley and burned sugar. Some
sweet raspberries and hints of dried fruits. Lots of oak after some minutes in
the glass.
Malted barley,
grass and hay at first in the taste. Some oak as well. The finish is very
sweet, like vanilla ice cream with some dried fruits. Again mixed with some
oak, without it being overwhelming.
Somewhat
different, but very good indeed. Those fins knows what they are doing, and it
is always fun to see how they are going about it in the different countries.
Without it being particular exceptional though. I will give this 84/100
(20/21/22/21).
