Cambus 24 yo (1991/2015), Chapter 7, 55,3 %

Review #434
From the series ”A Whisky Anthology” comes this single cask from a Bourbon Hogshead, with the number 79887. Only 304 bottles were made. Sweet and sharp on the nose at first. When it calms down, vanilla and spices comes rushing in. Some mint in the background.

Intense sugar in the taste. The oak comes through beautifully, and leaves you with a finish rich of spices. A slight touch of anise and a long lasting sweet sugary mouthfeel. Like cooked fruits.

I find this a bit more complex than grain whiskies usually are that I've tried. The oak leaves a nice touch of spices, both in the smell and taste. You almost never go wrong with old grain whiskies! I will give this 87/100 (22/22/21/22).
