The Irishman Single Malt, 40%

Review #582
This is triple distilled and matured in a mix of Bourbon and Sherry casks for at least 10 years. Light vanilla and loads of apples in the smell. Hints of oak and toffee in the background.

White fruits is dominating in the taste. Ice tea and sweet raisins. Some vanilla in the transition to the finish. Here I get a bit of oak again, and hints of burned caramel shows. The finish is medium long, but gets a bit weak a bit fast.

It seems a bit under matured if I’m honest. Maybe a bit higher ABV would have done wonders. The Sherry maturation isn’t very noticeable, so I definitely don’t think we are near a 50/50 mix of the casks. I will give this 79/100 (19/20/20/20).
