West Cork Original, 40%

Review #575
This is a blended Irish whiskey, matured in ex-Bourbon casks. Vanilla biscuits, light citrus and grass in the smell. Very light overall and very basic Irish whiskey characteristics.

White fruits in the taste. Green apples and coconut with sweet vanilla in the end. Some citrus as well with some burned caramel coming forward in the finish. Still with the vanilla dominating the palate.

It is nothing special, but not bad either. It is pretty smooth and just a nice every day dram. Could imagine this being good in Irish Coffee – sweet but with a little edge. I will give this 79/100 (19/20/20/20).
