This Old Malt Cask is from a refill hogshead with the cask number DL9431. Only 199 bottles were made.  Thick marzipan, oak and some sweet raisins in the smell. Some spices as well - like cinnamon. Some more dark fruits comes forward after some minutes in the glass.

Very spicy at first in the taste. Then a lot of oak comes rushing in alongside some fruity notes. Heavy overripe plums, raisins and dates. Some tannins as well. The fruits mixes great with the sweetness in the finish.

Maybe there is too much oak, tannins and oak spices for some, which could ruin the experience for some, but I really enjoy it. It is not too complex, but the balance is great, and the spirit have really interacted well with the cask. I will give this 88/100 (22/22/22/22).
