Review #653 |
The dried
fruits comes forward in the taste. Some black currant and barley as well. The
finish is actually quite long considering the low ABV. The sweetness really
comes forward – sugary-syrupy with a vanilla touch.
Considering
the price, this is a very fine Irish dram. The Oloroso cask maturation is quite
noticeable in the taste, even though it is just a blend. And this, combined
with the grain whiskey, makes it a very fresh Sherry whiskey. I will give this
84/100 (20/22/21/21).
