Bunnahabhain 10 yo (2001/2011), Signatory Vintage, 57,8%

Review #646
This single cask is from the Cask Strength Collection, and bottled from a Sherry butt with the cask number 910. Only 564 bottles were made, and it’s made exclusively for the Danish market. The dried fruits mixes with just a hint of peat in the smell. Wet, sweet, soaky oak and fruity sweetness. Some dark chocolate after some time in the glass.

The dried fruits fills your mouth in the taste. All the classic Sherry notes is coming through alongside the classic Bunna character. Some light tobacco notes with oak coming through as well. Some salt find its way to the finish where it mixes just beautifully with the fruity sweetness.

What an impressive 10 year old whisky! So much flavour, and so much influence from the cask already. Yes, it is only 10 years old, but I just find every aspect of this dram very enjoyable, and that’s why the rating is high! I will give this 91/100 (23/22/23/23).
