Nikka Coffey Grain, 45%

Review #678
A single grain whisky distilled in a Coffey still. You are in no doubt that, this is a grain whisky! Sweet, with vanilla and burned oak in the smell, almost like if it was a Bourbon. Toffee and corn as well.

The taste is full of oak and burned caramel. Vanilla, oak spices and hints of herbal tea in the background. Some cinnamon joins the show in the finish alongside the vanilla and burned caramel, which stays for quite a while.

This is just good, and sweet, from start to finish. Some might miss some richer flavours or more complexity, but sometimes, this is just all you need! A nice grain, which reminds me so much of Bourbon, that maybe Bourbon lovers also will love this. I will give this 84/100 (21/21/21/21).
