Glen Moray 10 yo (2001/2012), Provenance, 46%

Review #679
This is from the series Provenance from Douglas McGibbon. It´s distilled Autumn 2001 and was matured until Summer 2012 in refill hogsheads with the cask numbers DMG8873 & DMG8874. Fresh green apples and malted barley in the smell. Sweet overripe pears in the background.

Again it is the white fruits that dominates in the taste, but some exotic fruits like coconut and hints of pineapple appears as well. The finish is actually quite nice and full of white fruits with a bit of sweetness. It stays for quite a while, probably due to the 46%.

I´m quite glad that this isn’t bottled at 40%, as I wouldn’t be sure that there would have been any flavours left? It seems younger than 10 years, and that is probably because that the casks have been worned out. I will give this 77/100 (19/19/20/19).
