Ardbeg An Oa, 46,6%

Review #699
A new expression to the Ardbeg core range, made up by a marriage of several different cask types, including new charred oak, PX Sherry and first fill Bourbon. Sweet, meaty vanilla peat in the smell. White fruits and smoke.

A bit of saltiness is added in the taste. Different things is happening, yet still light. The peat is mixing with some spice/peppery notes and charred oak. The finish is mainly full of white fruits and peat, with the other flavours dying out.

Fine edition to the core range, as it doesn't remind me of the other expressions. Would still prefer the TEN over this though. With the different cask types I was honestly expecting some more. Still enjoyed it very much though! I will give this 84/100 (21/21/21/21).
