Tamdhu Batch Strength - Batch 004, 57,8%

Review #818
This is batch number 4 in the Batch Strength series. It was bottled in 2019 from Sherry casks. First thought is that it seems a bit young in the smell. After some minutes in the glass, some dried fruits comes more forward, but it still seems a bit young. Some red berries and a dash of vanilla as well.

Very powerful in the taste at first. Some sweet Sherry influence – chocolate covered raisins – and a bit of caramel. This vanilla touch comes forward again in the finish alongside the dried fruits - reminds me of waffles with vanilla ice cream.

Maybe an off day, but the alcohol is quite (very) overwhelming at first in the taste. However, the finish is great, and maybe it seemed young in the smell, but not so much in the rest of the experience. And be aware, even though it’s sweet, it’s maybe not as dessert-sweet as this review might ended up describing. I will give this 84/100 (20/21/22/21).
