Singleton of Dufftown, Spey Cascade, 40%

Review #821
This is a Singleton from Dufftown distillery. It is matured in ex-Bourbon and Sherry casks. Fresh and citrusy in the smell, with hints of sweet raisins. A bit of caramel as well in the background.

A bit youngish in the taste. Some grassy notes accompany the citrus. Not much happens here... Unfortunately a bit watery in the finish. However, it is some of the good flavours that stays behind.

This is not an overly exiting experience... However, the price tag is very low (somewhere at least), and I wouldn't mind have it as a sidedish for some beers. Then again, I would probably still choose something better, even for that... I will give this 78/100 (20/19/20/19).
