Review #836 |
It is quite
clear, in the taste, that it is a Sherry finish. You get the sweetness from the
fruits, but the finish is not quite long enough for you to get those heavy
notes of dried fruits. This is more red berries, raisins and a bit of spices.
The oak comes forward in the finish and goes along great with the fruity notes
and vanilla.
It is not a
Sherry bomb, but that's not a bad thing in this case (unless you thought it
would be). The finish balances great with the initial maturation and gives you
an extra layer of flavours. For the price, it's an absolute bargain. I will
give this 86/100 (21/21/22/22).
