Review #840 |
A little
alcohol at first, but when the flavours starts to flow in, you get some peat
and vanilla in the taste. Hay, crisp apples and some peppery notes in the finish.
The finish is actually quite long, considering the age, and especially the
peppery notes stays for quite a while.
Luckily,
they have bottled it at 46%, and adding the peat, you can mask quite a lot of
the youthfulness in this whisky. A very good first edition from a new
distillery, when you take the age into consideration. I will give this 83/100 (20/21/21/21).
