The classic standard bottling from Glenlivet. Probably
one of the most known single malts out there. The smell is fresh, light and
floral. Light oak and a nice fruity sweetness. Like sitting in the garden a
regular summer day.
The taste is very watery. Some light floral notes,
vanilla and apples. The finish is just a continuation of the taste but very
smooth, and actually stays for quite a bit taking into consideration that it is
only 40 % ABV.
The balance is great and the there is a reason why
everybody calls this whisky smooth! The complexity is what you get in a 12 year
old watered down standard bottling… I will rate this 84/100 (21/20/21/22).
