Glen Scotia 15 yo, 46%

Review #675
This is part of the relaunch of the core range back in 2015. It is matured in ex-Bourbon barrels. Light with sweet notes from sugars in the smell. Burned caramel and oak with vanilla notes all the way. White fruits as well.

Oak and oak spices comes through in the taste. Burned oak that is. Toffee, and still the burned oak that carries all the way to the finish. Some fruits as well, but mainly sweetness. Especially honey and vanilla.

A sweet and oaky dram (as you might got from the tasting notes). Almost like an old grain whisky! Quite a fine balance, and luckily they bottled it at 46%, which just gives it a bit extra. I will give this 86/100 (21/22/21/22).
