Haig Club, 40%

Review #693
This award winning and David Beckham advertising Single Grain, is named after John Haig, the founder of Cameronbridge Distillery (guess where the whisky is from). Let’s see if it is it´s awards worthy! So mild (or weak) on the nose, that I hardly can pick up anything. Yet there seem to be some sort of off note… White fruits and vanilla.

A bit more flavourful in the taste. Yet it is like it taste of nothing… Some white fruits, grains and malt mixed with some caramel perhaps. Some toffee in the finish, with the notes from the taste dying out (and rather fast that is).

As it often is with grain whiskies without an age statement – under matured and boring. I could say many things about this and all the awards it has received, but I will just leave it with this: Now you know which bloggers are paid by the industry! I will give this 69/100 (15/18/18/18).
