This is the
old discontinued 15 year old. Baked apples with sour creme in the smell. Loads
of vanilla comes floating in and just a dash of exotic fruits (like pineapple
and coconut) appears.
A little
oak comes forward in the taste alongside hints of floral notes. Still, the
white fruits are dominating. It's not fresh white fruits, but baked. Fruity
sugary notes in the finish to compliment it all.
A fine whisky, where especially the finish,
where all the flavours come together, and the balance are the highlights.
Remember to pour yourself a big dram, as it just gets better and better by the
sip! I will give this 86/100 (21/21/22/22).
