This whisky is called “Unbridled joy” and comes from a Refill Bourbon Hogshead. Only 282 bottles were made. Sweet vanilla peat - as always - but also quite a good amount of new make notes in the smell.

Nice and mellow Islay peat in the taste (more peat than in the smell though). The finish gets even more sweet, and a dash of seaweed emerges alongside some faint hints of licorice root.

Not very complex, but a nice and young burst of Caol Ila peat. The sweetness and the peat overwhelms the youthfulness, and that’s a big plus. An everyday dram, with a little bit extra. I will give this 85/100 (21/21/22/21).
