Review #794 |
Duncan Taylor range when it's best. A single
cask from cask #3788, and only 293 bottles were made. Cooked fruits and
marzipan in the smell. Baked apples and hints of hay and light oak influence.
A great alcohol burn in the taste. Then
white fruits and vanilla comes rushing in. Some burned oak as well. Vegetation
is the keyword in the finish. Hay and grassy notes, and the cooked fruits are
back, all mixed with the burned oak.
If you enjoy Imperial, you will also like this!
Classic Imperial at cask strength, with a great balance. The Rare Auld series
from Duncan Taylor just never disappoints! I will give this 88/100
(21/22/22/23).
